Terms of Use

Last updated: September 13, 2026

No legal entity has been registered for this service. Until one is registered, these terms describe how the tool behaves rather than a legally enforceable agreement.

What this is

Coolcheck is a schedule calculator and log comparator for cooling tower water management plans under ASHRAE 188. Given a plan's parameters and a CSV log of readings, it returns findings: readings out of range, readings overdue, and missing required readings — each citing the clause or plan section that creates the requirement.

This is not a compliance record, not a lab result, and not legal or medical advice. It is a tool that checks arithmetic and dates against published values. Always consult your water management plan and a qualified EHS professional for compliance decisions.

Use of the tool

You may use Coolcheck to check any cooling tower water management plan readings. The tool processes data in one request and does not store anything server-side. No account, registration, or payment is required.

You agree not to:

  • Submit deliberately misleading or fabricated data to produce false findings.
  • Use the tool as a substitute for professional EHS consultation or regulatory compliance review.
  • Attempt to disrupt the service or access data submitted by other users (note that no such data is stored).

Data handling

Data submitted to the tool — plan parameters and reading CSV content — is processed entirely in memory during a single HTTP request and is not stored, logged, or retained server-side. No personal information is collected beyond what is necessary for the HTTP request itself.

Limitations of the tool

These limitations are structural, not temporary:

  • The tool does not send email reminders, alerts, or notifications. There is no email sender in this fleet. Overdue findings are for your reference only.
  • The tool does not integrate with any BMS, CMMS, or LIMS system. CSV is the only input format.
  • The tool does not store reading data. Every request is processed independently.
  • The tool does not provide health or safety verdicts. "Within control limits" is a statement about a number against a plan; it is not "the tower is safe."
  • A tool that misses a lapse is worse than a spreadsheet, because the spreadsheet does not claim to be watching. Check your own work.

Billing

The Coolcheck tool is currently free to use. No payment information is collected and no charges are applied. The tool accepts no payment from you and incurs no billing relationship.
